The most remote distillery in the world
It was a passion for whisky that led to us to establish the Faer Isles Distillery, but from the very beginning we wanted to explore all the opportunities that the Faroe Islands provide: Nature, botanicals and culinary traditions, in order to distil the essence of the Faroe Islands. This is why we also produce vodka, gin and akvavit.

The cool, salty, and windswept climate provides ideal conditions for whisky maturation.
In 2020, we invited everyone to become a part of this exceptional project by becoming members of Faer Isles Founders’ Club, and the backing was spectacular. We now have founding members in 22 countries.
In 2021 we invited everyone to buy shares in the company via our first community funding round and now have shareholders in 23 countries.
We offer guided tours of the distillery, including tasting of our products. The tours take approximately 1 hour and cost 300 DKK per person.
